Seattle was fourth in the league with 22 interceptions in 2011 and were a solid defense overall, allowing 19.7 points per game (seventh in the NFL). DE Chris Clemons brought the main pressure on the QB and 11 of the Seahawks 33 sacks.
Earl Thomas heads up a solid defensive backfield that also features 6’4” corner Brandon Browner, who had a surprising six INTs last season.
The Seahawks went defensive with their first two draft picks in 2012, adding LB/DE Bruce Irvin and LB Bobby Wagner in Rounds 1 and 2.
Considering this defense finished strong (16.25 points per game allowed Weeks 10-17) and the additions it's made, Seattle is a defense on the rise in 2012.
